Reviews of Merrilee Crescent, Frenchs Forest
"Good family street"
Merrilee Crescent is a fairly quiet thoroughfare in a valley in Frenchs Forest. The first houses in this street were built in the late '60s and some are in need of a facelift. The area is stacked with huge, mature trees, which give the street a good atmosphere. Many families in this street have young children but there are still plenty of original "settlers" left. Frenchs Forest is a good, solid real-estate area. It isn't as flashy as nearby Davidson and Belrose but then it's usually a little cheaper too so could give better value for money. Most of Merrilee backs onto a dirt track with a water pipeline so these houses have no immediate neighbours to the rear, which is a plus. The track is also good for walking. It's about a 15-minute hike up a steep hill to the highway for public transport but you can catch buses all the way to the city from here. There are plenty of good schools in the area and Forestway Shopping Centre is also just up the hill. Good, solid family street, where people pretty much keep to themselves.
