Is this overpriced or what??!?!

@miniwombat What did they try and sell it for previously? Higher that $57 Million? Why did it get that price tag? The insides don't look that great for a $57 mil home.

$57.5 million, how good it that.. I heard the dude is an artist? (singer) is that right and the outgoing family are chuffed that the house will remain a 'house' with a family living in it and not pulled down, subdivided etc etc.

Worth a million dollar!? that was really one of the most expensive property for sale there in Melbourne Australia. Only a true billionaire and luxurious man can afford it.

I haven't seen how it looks on the inside but outside the architecture is not that extraordinary. With that price tag, I could hire a famous architect and build a fabulous structure that might even cost less than $57mil.

i agree Kellie. Money not spent well IMO. But remember, it's all location-location-location .. so is that location worth 57mill minus the house + fittings .. so around 56/55 mill? who knows?

I guess if someone's paid that much money it must be something special... maybe it comes with the garage full of exotic cars and a boat, but still 57 is waaay expensive. I'd rather buy 5 houses 10 mil each in Brighton and spent 7 mils on cars and a boat :)

Apparently a Sydney Harbour mansion sold for $52 million this month. Here's some photos. I prefer this to the WA property.

Oh my god that apartment looks AMAZING!!! I'm not sure any place is worth $312 million though. Do you think the owners paid cash?

There was a $68 million property on the market, but not sure you can compare as you are paying for land. http://www.news.com.au/money/property/ric-stowes-68-million-devereaux-farm-estate-might-be-split-up-for-fire-sale/story-e6frfmd0-1225892529070
