Is Nambour a safe place to live

Relocating to Nambour from interstate. Getting mixed reviews about the area in terms of having a low socioeconomic status. I have no issues with quiet country towns with less hustle and bustle, but like to feel safe in my surroundings. I can see there are lots of new homes being built so was hoping this would introduce new families to the area? Locating with older kids, both working in the health industry. Any help or information is most welcome, positive or negative. Thank you.
