Reviews of Naracoorte, SA
"A Pleasant Town but Clicky and Noisy"
I don't mind the town but beware, some of the residents are very clicky. Gossip and trouble spreads and you can quickly get involved up to your ears. Apart from that it's not a bad place. Can be noisy at times in certain areas. I wouldn't live there again.
It's all yours..
"Well set out town"
We lived here for about a year with our teenage boys, coming back and forth for work in the area. Easy going town, locals are great everyone just fits right in who ever you are. Good amount of shops and pubs for a small town and some very good cafes. Nice big woolies and a Foodworks. Good skatepark, big swimming pool. Been into the medical centre a few times after an accident and only 1 person we delt with was excellent and it was an on call doctor. Everyone else were quite unprofessional.

"A fabulous place to bring up children, safe and great schools - Dartmoor ct is close to all of this"
Naracoorte is the sort of place children can ride bikes, lots of sporting facilities and a big sporting complex with basketball, squash, tennis, soccer, football, netball and tennis.
Primary Schools are at each end of the town - around 350 mark with a private Christian school - 2 plus a High School on par with any private school in Adelaide - child care facilities and 2 kindergartens with OSHS> large, free swimming lake for summer.
Good shopping for white goods, furniture, target, dress shops etc with lots of banks and a plaza - big woolworths and foodland. All services.
100 km from the beach for a good day out in the surf....and 2.5 hours from the Grampians can also be a weekend or days outing, 1 hours from Mt. Gambier for bigger shopping and half way between Adelaide and Melbourne - 3-4 hours each.
Wine region 20 minutes south with a range of fab. cellar doors and the Little Desert National park 30 minutes to the north.

"A perfect spot for a rural life with all the mod cons"
Picturesque Naracoorte is the gateway to the south-east. Situated 350 kilometres to the southeast of Adelaide and 100 kilometres to the north of Mt Gambier, Naracoorte is a thriving farming town.
With a population of nearly 5,000, Naracoorte offers all of the essential facilities, a range of shops and pubs, a hospital and both a primary and secondary school.
The streets are wide and leafy, the homes are spacious with homely gardens. It is a neat and tidy town with a true sense of community. Sport is alive and well, with the town competing in the regional football and netball competitions. Close to the Coonawarra wine region, Naracoorte has a strong emphasis on good food and wine, holding a number of gourmet events throughout the year.
