Reviews of New Beith, QLD

"Great area"

New Beith consists of half acre or larger properties where houses are of a good quality and well looked after. Retirees and young families are filling the township and crime was not an issue for me when i lived there up until 2018. It was peaceful and a great place to live.

"New Beith - Use to be one of the greatest acreage estates to live in"

New beith is a great area for cost of living, the wildlife is amazing, low density housing, decent internet, lack of pollution, resale values and its sense of community in some ways. However, hooning, crime from the greenbank shops and dog attacks are all significant problems. New beith 10-15 years ago was one of the best places to live, but it seriously needs better regulation to rectify these problems. Above all dog attacks are common and unacceptable because all areas have crime/hooning but not being able to walk down your street safely is a problem. There have been at least 3 dogs attacks mainly by crossbread pitball dogs in the last couple of years and it is because some owners leave their gate open, which (not the dogs fault) the dog then runs out to chase bikes, other dogs walking with owners. And if you ever approach an owner about leaving their gate open prepare for a speech about how its a 'free country' and to get lost in a more explicit manner. Go for a drive one weekend in new beith and just see how many places have open gates and viscous dogs. Conclusion: New Beith has serious potential in many areas but needs more regulation by council to go back to being one of the best acreage areas to live. There are definitely better streets than others in new beith and if you choose to live their good luck and pick your street carefully.

"Outback bush retreat, a dead hour from my home in Brisbane"

We bought a block of land in Undullah some time ago, it is absolutely magic. Neighbours are all friendly (and a good 15 minute walk away each) Great wildlife, very quiet, a fantastic spot and so close to home.
