Daily Show Ruined

I don't watch the Daily Show terribly often; but, I'm pretty sure I'll never watch it again. The horribly craptastic Olivia Munn is a correspondent? That's the funniest chick they could find? Gag me with a spoon, as my sister used to say when we were young.

You don't like her? I find her oddly likable, in spite of herself. I heard her on the Loveline radio show once and I loved how she had absolutely no shame whatsoever.

I find her sooooo obnoxious! She is so self congratulatory and says revolting things. I feel like when you say things like that, you're going for the easy joke. And, she's a thirty year old woman who says things like "dopeness." I don't know if we can be friends, Neversleeps :)

What can I say? She's no intellectual or anything but she makes me laugh. She's been on the show for some time now, no? I remember being surprised to hear that she was a new correspondent last summer...? Also think that the humor on the Daily Show is often obnoxious, but I still love it. :)

Hmmm... I think all of the Daily Show correspondents are sort of insufferable. But I also thought that was supposed to be part of their charm? If you're into that sort of thing, anyway. I don't watch the show that much because it's hard for me to watch people being ridiculed in interviews.

I never saw the show. I sleep in every morning. I usually don't get up until 10:30 in the morning. By your comments, I'm glad i don't watch it. :)

It's actually on at night, @hhusted, at 10 or 11 pm! I used to love the Daily Show, but I think I grew out of it somehow. I don't find the comedy sharp. Living in England's ruined me - now I get my humoUr from "Yes, Minister"

@Ajadedidealist: Oh, I thought you guys were talking about the morning show opposite of Regis Philbin. Okay. Well, even at 10 or 11pm at night, I am busy writing. My girlfriend may have the TV on, watching her ghost hunter shows.

She's been on since this fall; and, I tried. I really tried but I can't take her anymore. I think all of the correspondents are so smart. I'm kind of obsessed with John Oliver. She is just as dumb as it gets. Meh.

@JenMac: The one great thing about TV is you can turn it off if there is nothing interesting or exciting to watch.

I agree, JenMac. Shamelessness belongs to the time before you're 30 - after that you do have to grow up a little.

@JenMac I'm pretty sure it was summer.... The Daily Show website lists a bunch of clips featuring OM as being dated from summer? I just remember having a conversation about her being on the show with someone I haven't seen since summer.

@JenMac @Uraniumfish You guys are no fun. It's not like she's Jenny McCarthy making armpit noises and baring a toothy grin. She's just reading the lines the Daily Show writers give her.

@neversleeps: I think it's more her interview persona that skews my opinion of her when she's Daily Showing. She's obsessed with herself and infantile. To each (her), methinks, but I guess you and I don't ever have to worry about fighting over her.
