Fornicating New York

So I came across an article in Gothamist about how most New Yorkers can hear their neighbors getting it on (http://gothamist.com/2010/02/12/thin_walls_no_match_for_fornicating.php). I couldn't agree more with this statement: "It's like a train wreck—you have to stop what you're doing and listen, even if it's awful."

I actually had this happen to me yesterday - my bed is lofted and I could hear my neighbor getting it on above my head in what is actually the room he uses as an office. Sadly, it didn't last long.

Anyone have any good stories on this subject? Anyone actually unable to hear their neighbor's private time?

I live below this young lady. She's in her upper thirties or lower forties. Every so often I hear the bed rocking and loud talking, and giggling. When I hear that I just think she must be having a great time.

I could hear my neighbor in the shower with his girlfriend. They would alternate between humping and talking. I can barely look the dude in the eye now; knowing that a big part of his sex tactic is talking about cat litter

Nothing as exciting in my building, though my neighbor is single if she has any sex she keeps it really quiet...wonder if she can hear us though...uh-oh!!!

My ex-wife told me I was the quiet type. Even my present girlfriend says the same thing.

Haha - I live in one of those buildings where everyone can hear everyone else. Sometimes I even hear my neighbors in the house next door.. But they can probably hear me, too, so it's all square.

No one's interested, is the point! It's one thing to crack some jokes about the loud neighbors, it's another to post about your own proclivities! Yuck!

@hhusted Yeah, that was a little much and I definitely was not prepared... I guess I was asking for it with this posting though. My bad!
