Narrowest House in the City

Is there a picture of it. I'm curious to see what it looked like.
I'm sure there are pics all over. But, you can always just hop over to Bedford and Commerce. We live in the same city as this house.
Oh, yeah, I've heard about that house. Who has it now?
I'll have to come to your neighborhood soon, JenMac, and check it out. It sounds like an interesting site to see.
It's not in my neighborhood. It's on Bedford in the Village. Not sure who owns it now.
It sounds like a terrible place to live. I guess we don't know if someone actually lives there? Sounds like a good storage space rather than anything else.
@BroadwayBk just read about it as well .. seems like what it lacks in width it makes up in height as it has three stories. Apparently Cary Grant lived there once.
@hhusted here's a pic from flickr of the house-http://www.flickr.com/photos/wallyg/371206250/
@uptowngirl: I read the entire description. That house has a history despite its size. Many celebrities lived there. I guess it isn't as tiny as it seems. Or perhaps those who lived there didn't have much furniture.
I wish someone had taken pictures of the inside. I would have loved to see how it looked.
It's nice as an idea, but BroadwayBK is right: probably not so excellent as a reality, having to live in that space every day.
I'm measuring out 7 feet lengthwise and trying to picture this...
That's so cool! It's a good thing New Yorkers are so skinny...
Ugh, I think my tiny room is more spacious than a floor on that house! I hope whoever lives there got a good deal on rent/mortgage.
I think the place is actually really expensive. It's in one of the best neighborhoods in the city and has so much high profile history to it. I can't imagine it's not outrageously priced.
@JenMac & BroadwayBK There's actually a database accessible from inside the NY Public Library where you can type in any NYC address and you can pull up all sales and ownership documents for any property, plus current market values, etc. I'd have to find the name of the database, but, yeah, I bet you can get the records on that house too.
@DBlack I feel like I was looking at such information online one day...
Yeah, I actually found it by Googling my Street: http://www.city-data.com/ny-properties/assessments/Brooklyn/L/Locust-Street-1.html
Not sure how to get to those property assessments without using Google. And, if you were wondering, I don't actually live on Locust so don't bother trying to stalk me.
@BroadwayBK On the database at NYPL you can even pull up electronic copies of the original deed of ownership. Looks like what you found is based on those documents, and is probably enough for the purposes of this type of research.
I ain't a stalker! I'm too lazy anyway!
@DBlack that was only directed at prospective stalkers; don't take it personally. Man, I have a library book that is about three months overdue. Maybe I'll look up the original owners of my building while I'm there.
@BroadwayBK: You are funny. I wouldn't think of stalking you. I would simply send you and email and ask you out. :)
It is interesting note what information you can find just by looking it up on Google.
