Taking into account the devastating floods that have destroyed parts of Australia, Brazil and Sri Lanka this year, I would say this is a cause for worry. I live in river facing apartment on a low floor and much as I love the view of the river I think its going to cause a problem in the years to come. What sort of views do you get from your apartments?

I only have a back view. Quite depressing actually. I get to see the back of other apartments. So during the summer I can see clothes being left on the fire escape to dry.

My view is of another building, sadly. But, If I walk down to the front awning of my building, then I can see the Hudson . . so, there's that.
