You mean this?

What's the attraction? Just seems to be full of photos bearing too much cleavage.
I used to read it but ever since it changed formats it's too hard to read. There are too many columns filled with crap no one cares about. I just want all the dirt smashed together so I can read it quickly and feel better about myself.
I would rather read Perez Hilton, but I haven't even been doing that in recent months. I do get email updates from US Weekly, so I always know what Brangelina are doing.
I'm not a huge celebrity gossip fan (although news of Sandra Bullock's husband's infidelity reached my desk - and actually bothered me for some reason). Although I'm addicted to Daily Intel - more for its political/humor stories and coverage of NY figures rather than West Coast celebs.
I guess I was just wondering because even the phrase "Page 6" means something, as in drunken Lindsey Lohan is always in Page 6. But I don't think I've ever gotten my gossip from the source.
@NeverSleeps I hardly ever read the NY post but do sometimes watch E news when I am ironing or something, there is such an overload of celebrity gossip that you cant help but be in the know of what they all are doing/not doing.
@neversleeps - it can be a bit of harmless fun now and then. Somehow I can't help but know gossip, even if I'm not looking for it!
I know gossip is terrible; but, doesn't it kind of make you feel better sometimes to know that there are people who are way more messed up than you? I mean, in a tiny way . . .
@JenMac sure thing
Me? Never! How dare you, @jenmac! (okay, maybe a little bit...every now and then on daily intel....daily....) ;-)
@NeverSleeps: Until you mentioned it, and Uraniumfish presented the link, I didn't even pay attention to that web page. I can see why now.
Ahahahahaha! Ok, phew! I'm so glad I'm not the only one. :)
@JenMac isn't that the idea with reality television as well?
Yeah, Neversleeps, it totally is. But, for some reason, I can't stand reality tv. . . except for Rock of Love :) That show is awesome.
I watched NYC prep for two or three episodes. At which point I just had to turn it off...it was TERRIBLE!
Anyone see the South Park episode about Britney Spears getting sacrificed? Know what I'm talking about. Although it was all in South Park's raunchy humor, the point that our society kind of chooses young beautiful women to worship and then sacrifice was a pretty good one.
@JenMac Ha. Of all the reality television in the world, you choose Rock of Love!
@ajadedidealist That is probably the only reality show I haven't seen, even if everyone was always talking about it...
@Uraniumfish No, but I need to!
@BroadwayBK Why, then, allow me to point the way to the South Park website, where you can watch all previous episodes for free...
http://www.southparkstudios.com/
The Britney episode was Season 12, episode 2.
@BroadwayBK: don't judge until you watch! It is like car crash crack! The most amazing (terrible) people on Earth are on that show . . . and, they all do the skankiest things for friggin Bret Michaels. It is pure awesome.
@Everybody: I'm not a fan of reality TV. I'm actually too busy to watch TV anyway. I guess the only reality TV show I do watch, and it is because my girlfriend has it one, is Ghost Hunters.
@Everyone I usually watch the Real Housewives and Millionaire Matchmaker and I love What not to Wear . All these shows come on around 9pm when I am usually eating dinner and provide me with entertainment.
@uptowngirl Yowza. Back when you were posting about Real Housewives I went and watched an episode just to see what the to do was all about, and had to stop watching after that out of sheer horror over how nasty people can be with each other. I don't know how you can take it on a regular basis.
You guys and your television trash...so funny.
@JenMac I have seen it! Every season of it! That's why it was funny to me that you can't stand reality television, with the strange exception of Rock of Love. :)
Yeah, for some reason, that and Temptation Island (don't judge) were the only reality shows I could ever stand. I guess it has something to do with watching losers fight over another loser.
I find it kind of annoying that reality television is making this whole other class of celebrity - the loser celebrity. Only the loser celebrity either has no idea of their actual status among celebrities, or just plays it up as best they can. Take, for example, Speidi, who will apparently do anything to stay in the tabloids: http://www.tmz.com/2010/03/31/heidi-montag-spencer-pratt-white-wolf-running-bear-indian-names-king-spiritual-native-american/
@Uraniumfish You know its got quite stagey and boring this season. Real housewives in NYC used to be the best of the series but now its bitchy and catty and quite boring but like I said I watch it as entertainment during dinner time. In fact recently HGTV launched their own reality show which features NY real estate called Selling New York .. it's really interesting if you follow NY real estate trends as it features two high profile NY brokerage firms who scout pricey properties for various clients . I think you will enjoy it ..given your interest in real estate.
I also saw one episode of a show called Sharks (or Shark Tank, I forget now) where real people pitch their business ideas to big moguls like the CEO of Corcoran, who decide whether to put up the investment capital to make the idea into a business. It was totally real and really fascinating!
Whereas bitchy wanna-be semi-celebrities clawing at each other was waaaay boring.
@Uraniumfish I think I have seen Sharks actually the program that I watch regularly is House Hunter sInternational on HGTV .. I love all the exotic locations that they show on the program as one day in the future I too want to have a vacation home on a beach paradise.
Yeah, I think if I was going to look for gossip articles in physical form I would pick up US Weekly. But I probably won't be doing that any time soon either.
