Anyone ever shop at the US vendors?

There is a lady near Union Square, on Broadway before you get to the Strand, who sells jewelry that I absolutely love. Her stuff is attractive and trendy, but best of all relatively affordable.

I go for the vegetable market on weekends. The apples they sell are as big as my head.

I love the free samples at the farmer's market. But my favorite thing is the holiday fair they have in December - great, unique crafts and gift ideas, along with yummy hot apple cider!

The only vendors I like to deal with are the fruit ones. My girlfriend goes for the jewelry.

I keep meaning to get out to a Farmer's market...every weekend I always forget. Do they have a market in Union Square every weekend? I admit I've kind of had my eye on the one in McCarren Park.

I haven't been to the McCarren Park one yet either; but, I fancy that going to that and then heading to a waterfront concert will be a pretty great Saturday afternoon once the summer rolls in.

Yeah, when the weather starts getting much warmer, you will see more vendors out, and more people to. Streets will become jammed then. Ouch. I hate crowds.

Union Square is one of my favorite places in the summertime - all types head over there, and it makes for excellent people watching. And the shopping isn't too bad, either. Wish it wasn't so Starbucks-y, but you can't have everything.

Actually, with NYC, why can't you have what you want. I guess you can't get it perfect, but you can come close. Don't you think. Maybe it is a state of mind. At least you can dream it if nothing else.
