"Fantastic community"
Newstead is a beautiful country town. There are many community groups - weekly tai chi, yoga and karate classes. Not to mention the community garden, pizza oven and plants! The local IGA is handy and there is a pub or two. The cafe makes a mean pizza on the weekends. Once a year there is a folk festival and the streets are literally alive with the sound of music. The local pool is community run and is a hub for the town during the summer months. Our children are enjoying country life and making friends! And so are we!

- Castlemaine not far away
- Community spirit is strong
- Nice range of people ,old locals and new ones!
Not great for
- Nowhere to buy chocolate after 8pm
