I'll start things off, just to get things started. For me it would North Beach and you don't have to do this but I'm going to add in the summer of 2003. There was this one day when I was at the Greco Caffe on Columbus and I saw this guy propose to this girl there. And then my boyfriend at the time drove down from Portland to see me and we hung out, watched the sunset from the top of the flat I was renting that year, and watched as the fog rolled in in the morning. It was fantastic. That's a day I wouldn't mind having on permanent loop.
That sounds like a great day! I had a moment a few months back en route to wine country, stopping at the overlook north of Golden Gate Bridge looking over the city, where everything was just perfect. You really feel like you have the whole city at your fingertips. It's pretty incredible.
For that matter, I had a pretty incredible bike ride down the coast from Monterey to Carmel (the long way) last weekend. Weather was foggy, but everything else was so perfect that it didn't matter.

I understand that this is not quite the point of the question, but I wonder though, no matter how wonderful a particular day was, if it would all get old anyway, even if it was the most ecstatic moment of your life. Would it still be so wonderful the tenth time, or the hundredth time. I'm not sure.
That said, for me, I would have to say listening to Stravynsky's Nightingale for the first time a few years ago--outstanding. In Paris. Paris, of course, is hands down the most aesthetically moving city in the world. Not even SF can compete in my opinion.
This is getting existential. By the way, I love the term "Groundhog Place."
I do prefer San Francisco over Paris, although I understand anyone who is enamored with the city of lights. Different appeal, I guess. In my opinion, nothing can compare to Sydney, Australia.
I really need to renew my passport.
