No two persons have the same idea of a good restaurant.
I prefer lunch at restaurants that are aesthetically pleasing with a good ambiance in pleasing surroundings that invites one to linger longer. The new restaurant at the Best Western Hotel on lake Eden has a stunning waterfront setting with a good, but fairly limited all-day menu. Lomandras restaurant at the North Lakes Golf Course has an equally beautiful setting with nice green views. My personal favorite for a quick bite is the Blue Infusion cafe, 2 Flinders Parade. For or a no-nonsense quick lunch, one can always try IKEA .
I love the 'Fort Coffee House' on Endeavour Blvd. Great coffee and great service. I'm also a bit of a regular to Grilled. Never disappointed with my food and its always great to do some shopping before to build up an appetite. If Fish & chips is your love then definitely have to agree - Chumley Warners - English fish & chippery!!
Chumley Warners, English fish and chips. About 25 metres north of McDonalds at the bottom of Discovery Drive. Very good quality everything and a few other things including a deep fried Mars bar if you are game enough. Very popular, they will never go broke, especially evenings, Fridays specifically. Eat in or take away but there are only a limited amount of tables, maybe six times four seats. Whenever I come up from the Gold Coast to visit my daughter I drop in.
Realise you might mean a cafe, I have been to Stones at the roundabout a couple of times and I enjoyed it, husband less so. BEST BURGERS: Munch at Hilltop Shopping Centre, try their eggs benedict burgers, yum and BEST SEAFOOD/FISH AND CHIPS by far: "C grill" behind MacDonalds drive through on Discovery Drive
Lunch spots, lots and lots of parks, you might find the Lake is the nicest?
