Are the mosquitoes bad around the river in Summer in Oatley?

We live on the river in Oatley and we do a lot of entertaining during the day or night and our guests never complain about mosquitoes. They’re certainly around at dusk and dawn but not in large numbers. I’ve lived in suburbs which aren’t on a river was attracted more mosquitoes
