Reviews of Oberon Street, Springfield
"Lovely Houses, Decent Yards!"
Houses approximately 10yo, Yards provide enough breathing space between neighbours.
Not many options for eating out, nor is there a cinema. Internet access is through Telstra cable ONLY! Has many floors with cutting out, and speed is a third of what my family can get through the same deal.
We are very big on neighbourhood watch & police are quick to respond to calls. The local council reserves either side of Oberon St provide a shady, quiet play area, with good walking pathways to local Coles supermarket. Currently, shopping options are provided in the form of Mt Ommaney (definitely recommend this) & Orion which is good for need-it-now items. Also, Coles supermarkets is approximately 700m away, as is a service station, post office, vet surgery & gym.
We have had a lot of trouble with rodents (mice & rats), although we do own birds and they feed on the seed. We have lived here for 2 years, peaceful and quiet up until 6months ago. Parties every weekend in Greenway cct- in the same house though, so possible renters?! Only other thing to note is that if you plan on walking your dog/s, there are 2 nasty staffordshire bull terriers that live in Sharpless Rd near Lilly St. They are forever out and I have been unfortunate in that my dog got pinned by one of the dogs, while the other ripped her to shreds - Would not walk with children or pets in this direction!
