Moving from NSW to a northern Gold Coast suburb, is Ormeau Hills a nice suburb to live?

I have a young family and trying to find a decent suburb for schooling and low crime etc.

Yes. The homes vary a lot over the suburb. It's a safe spot and is predominantly families. There are a few new schools over the last few years too. I see Ormeau Hills as the best suburb both north and south for the area.
