"One of the best northern beach suburbs"

Padbury has everything at a reasonable price - great schools, restaurants, safe community spirit, awesome parks and nature reserves, close to the best beaches, Hillarys marina down the road and easy link to the city.

"A suburb with a great sense of community."

4 great primary schools and 3 daycares (that I know of and I’m certain there is more). Minutes from Hillarys boat harbour, Mullaloo beach, Whitfords/Joondalup/Karringyup shopping centre, Whitfords and Greenwood train stations. With the Nature Reserve close by we get lots of different kinds of birds in the area and the odd kangaroo sighting. Padbury Shops is very convenient (although I do find the IGA one of the more expensive ones around). Padbury pharmacy/coffee shop Alex Jnr is amazing! I do agree that the houses in the area can be alittle pokey and outdated but the blocks are big with plenty of room for outdoor play for the kiddos (unlike much of the newer houses being built with tiny alfresco and barely any lawn). Alot of the older homes have amazing renovating potential.

Plus Padbury has just undergone rezoning not that long ago and since then a lot of residents have been given the opportunity to subdivide or upgrade their property or sell. As a result I have noticed more and more younger families move back into the area.

I have lived in Padbury for quite some time now and in my opinion this suburb has only continued to get better since I moved here.

"Poorly-maintained front gardens"

Padbury is close to the beach which is great, but it's very much a working class area still, and the streets aren't particularly nice.

"The Place I Always Move Back To:- It Feels Like Home."

Padbury is a suburb that is easy to live in. It is located close to everything and well priced. We have Sorrento Quay Marina just down the road, also Whitfords Shopping Centre across the road. 5 minutes to the Rail, great bus service,10 minutes up the Freeway to Joondalup and all thats available there, loads of Parks for fitness for people and dogs.A great Whitfords Football /Cricket Club at McDonalds Park and 4 Primary Schools and so near to Duncraig High School, and St.Stephens in Duncraig. What more can I say I've tried moving away several times but am always drawn back.It is an area that is going through renewal and you can have the coastal lifestyle without the high prices. We live on a busy road with shops at both ends and I do not notice the traffic noise which might concern some people, I think its a matter of liking where you live.

"Overpriced"

Seriously, 3x1 for up to $550,000???? 4x2 for $600,000? you can buy a 3x1 across the road in Hillarys for a bit more than that? and you could probably buy in Kallaroo for the same price? They are much better areas than Padbury???? What a joke

never mind the high house prices for crappy houses.you have brain dead people hooning and playing music for the whole neighbourhood.

That may be so but the blocks in Padbury are a lot bigger and your not living in your neighbours pocket yes you might pay 550 for a 3x1 but if it's like mine you have enough room for a caravan and a boat plus 4 cars in the driveway plus I have a 6x6 shed in the back and a 11x4 metre pool and still room for my undercover area and lawn area for my kids to play in. As for the hoons and load music find me a place in perth where you don't get them

"Older, smaller, houses."

I have a friend who really likes living in Padbury, but for me, and mainly my wife who thinks all the houses in Padbury are old and small, and over pirced for what you get. You are definately more than 20 minutes away from the city, unless by train but you still have to get to the train station and find a parking spot (okay if you start work early).

"Padbury - finally, all in one"

We have bought our house here a year ago and are so happy, couldn't asked for more! great schools, close to the beach, safe, community spirit and lots of young families moving in, like us. All that with reasonably priced houses on large blocks! The best kept secret, we are here to stay. :)

"Family friendly - close to everything"

Padbury is a fantastic suburb for raising families. There are 4 Primary Schools in Padbury alone and quality high schools in neighbouring suburbs. Childcare facilities are excellent. From Padbury you can easily access the Hillarys Marina, northern beaches and the freeway for a 20 min drive to the city. There are convenient local shops in 3 different locations throughout the suburb and Whitfords shopping centre is only minutes away. Padbury has friendly neighbours and a great community spirit - including a Lions Club fair at McDonald park each year.

"Great for beach, local shopping centres, easy access to transport and local restaurants are wonderful"

We have lived in Padbury for 14 years and love it. Sorrento Quay is a 5 minute drive, the schools are very good and the access with both connecting buses and trains to both Joondalup and Perth city fantastic. People are friendly.
Shopping is wonderful as we have Whitfords less than 5 minutes away, Karringyup and Joondalup just 10 minutes.
The local restaurants are fabulous - Hepburn Heights and and a the couple in Warburton are great too. A wonderful family suburb.
