Palmwoods and Woombye are beautiful places to live. 5-10 mins to amenities at Nambour, 15-20 mins to Maroochydore and beaches. Nambour is a bit of a mixed bag, definitely has some characters. I wouldn't live near the hospital but the outskirts are lovely and affordable.
Schools in the area are very good, I've never walked down the street without a stranger saying hello. Lots of little cafes in Palmwoods, great bakery cafe in Woombye. Ricks Diner, Palmwoods pub (with kids playroom) etc, plenty of food options. Childcare centre in Palmwoods is A+ according to friends. All suburbs have Drs, chemist, butchers, bakery, takeaway, SPAR supermarkets (Nambour have Coles, Aldi, Woolies, Big W), newsagents, farm & garden stores, vets. Nambour and Palmwoods have public pools. So very well set up and very family friendly. Hope this helps!

Palmwoods & Woombye are sweet little villages with a great country feel, perfect for young families as you tend to become part of the community and also find houses with larger yards. Only a few minutes drive to the amenities of Nambour and Maroochydore and 10 minutes to the beach. Highly recommended. (I live in the area myself)

Hi Athena, We are a kiwi family thinking about moving to Palmwoods and just wondered how long it would take to travel to Noosaville approximately? I will also need to enroll my daughter to start primary school and wondered if you had any suggestions for good schools please? Thanks heaps Kav
