Why this suburb rank is so different from Mentone considering it's so closed to???

Parkdale, VIC 3195 is located within the Kingston local government area, part of the Melbourne (Greater) Region in Victoria.

A mystery. They are very similar suburbs. Mentone probably has the edge as it has supermarkets and a new train station.

Personally, I prefer Parkdale beach in summer. Mentone is too shallow.
