Reviews of Peregian Springs, QLD

"Easy Living!"

Living in the Springs is great. We have brilliant access to very well regarded schools, both private and public, fantastic beaches within 5 mins drive and convenient amenities. The housing stock is modern and not "cookie cutter", there are a great mix of contemporary homes from reputable builders.
If you are seeking something a little special then there are golf course frontage homes which are highly sought-after in the current market. Homes and gardens are well presented as you move around the neighbourhood and people are friendly and happy to stop for a chat. It's also a great area for families with many calling the suburb home.
When you are looking for a home in the area just be aware that there is a section where you have access to the Ridges facilities (gym, pool, tennis court) and you will pay Community Management Scheme fees for the privilege, but the rest of the suburb is standard freehold ownership.

Looking for a home in Peregian Springs?

"5 mins to beach, supermarket, motorway, schools, Coolum, Peregian Beach what more can you wish for!"

Peregian Springs has been very well designed with nice size plots, excellent parks, golf, shops and beaches so close! If you want the designer home with pool, glorious all round weather, great shops all close by, you really can't go wrong.
Lots have been written about the developer of this Estate, but give it 2 more years when the land has all sold, trees have matured and builders are long gone, prices will rise and the developer will be getting applauded for the clever development that incorporates high end properties with the location of dreams. Away from the hustle and bustle of city living and easy access to everything you can ever dream of.
Direct access from the estate onto the motorway allows you to be 5 mins from beaches, 15 minutes to Noosa and 25 minutes to Maroochydore. Add to this the tree lined streets, high end golf course throughout the estate and top schools with results to prove it!
You really can't go wrong. We live In Augusta Circuit, the properties overlook a stunning lake with golf course and stunning views with luscious grass and glorious trees. The birds make our days, with such a variety and all so friendly. On route to our property, you drive along Balgownie Drive. I recommend anyone questioning living on Peregian Springs to take a drive along this road and see the million dollar properties being built, why would anyone do that.....because they can see the huge gains to be made once this Estate has been completed.
Maroochydore has huge plans, do your research and check out the amazing city that is about to be built, right on the doorstep of Peregian Springs. Where will the CEOs want to live when relocating from Sydney, Melbourne or any major city? The first search will be plot size, pool and close to the beach and schools.
St. Andrews School on Peregian Springs is about to complete an Olympic size award winning swimming pool! The Peregian Beach is about to build a new Surf Club and toilet block, the shops at Peregian Beach are investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in converting them into the designer feel of Hastings Street. The Peregian Beach is 100s of kilometres of glorious white sand and crystal clear waters.
I don't normally write reviews, but need people to realise that the positive people that are happy living on Peregian Springs don't need to write negative comments and are too busy enjoying their lives!
If you don't believe me about Peregian Springs, go and take a drive and you will see what I mean and will wonder where these people are living to write such negative comments.
I hope this will help someone considering looking to move to Peregian Springs. You really can't go wrong!

"Peregian Springs"

Been living in Peregian Springs for the last 12 months, we as a family absolutely love the place. Location is perfect with so many places to visit, Noosa on the door step, Peregian Beach, Coolum the list goes on and on.
Weather is all round sun and blues skies the majority of the year.
Schools are fantastic, we have one that goes to Peregian Springs State School and one that goes to St Andrew's, both are loving it with loads of friends and lovely friendly teachers and parents.
I am gobsmacked by the negative comments from some people. This really is the dream!
We moved from the UK and to live on an estate with stunning designer homes, manicured gardens and gorgeous weather, it really doesn't get much better!

Beautiful well-presented and tidy suburb. Safe, quiet, family-friendly and only 5 mins to beach. I have been living on the Sunshine Coast for 20 years and this is by far my favourite suburb.

"Worst estate on the coast"

In the middle of nowhere with small roads, you can’t have friends over as the council have painted yellow lines through the whole estate too many people don’t care properties with awful gardens cars parked all over the lawns, if you go for a walk prepare to hop skip and jump the dog turds how the developers sleep at night god knows . This is not the great Australian dream ..........its one big con.

"Aka Feral town law breaking arrogant ignoramuses"

The streets look like a used car yard! No one uses their driveways instead park in skinny streets. No consideration for others. Dog owners do not abide by council laws instead letting their dogs run off leash in their unfenced front yards, our streets and parks. They do not understand the importance of these laws which is to keep dogs and humans safe. A number of dog attacks and deaths and council do not care. I feel unsafe. They leave dog faeces everywhere! No pride, care or respect! Rents are exorbitant and keep rising! Especially for what you get and considering we pay body corporate for what???!!! Nothing, they mow a nature strip of people's front yard once a week and call that maintenance, not even done well! Real estates call it idyllic...what a joke! I have lived in a lot of suburbs around the country and this is by far the worst!! Not special at all and definitely not recommended! A town full of feral, rude, inconsiderate, noisy, ignorant, arrogant and lazy members of a shitty expensive so called community. Run in the other direction. Biggest rip off by FKP, body corp, council and real estate agents making a buck off some people who want a nice place to call home.

Worst estate on the coast mutton dressed as lamb ...dont buy here

greatl

From your comments, I believe you live in the Ridges zone, not Peregian Springs which is a great location, very respectful community, family friendly, and quiet!

greatl

your comments are very aggressive, I believe you are living in the Ridges zone where you pay body corporate fees. I don't pay these fees and I live in a great street in Peregian Springs where all neighbours are very respectful, they look after their properties and gardens and it's very family-friendly.

What dog attackes and deaths are you referring to?
The Ridges is very different to the Springs, absolutely no signs of any of any of the above on the Springs Estate, very clean.

nelsonl1

The estate is set around a golf course and has lots of walking tracks, with parks native flora and fauna.

It has schools, shopping and dining, Golf, easy access to the beach, Short drive to Noosa and Maroochydore.

"Originally from Victoria, I LOVE IT!"

When I decided to relocate from Victoria, I researched and explored all suburbs across the Sunshine Coast.
As soon as I drove into Peregian Springs, it just felt right. Neat, clean, green, modern and affordable. Quick easy access onto the motorway, north or south, minutes to sandy beaches and great schools. I wouldn't live anywhere else. So happy with my decision 2 years ago.

"Wonderful place to live"

If you love the peace and quiet where kids can still play outside and 5 mins to the beach. Lots of walkways, golf, dancing school, gym, Medical centre, shopping centre. You can be as active as you like or not at all. All families and even retirees are catered for. I do not agree that there is riff raff here. We have wonderful neighbours with a mix of owners and rentees. Peregian Springs is full of soul, you just have to enjoy the ambience it provides. Noosa to the left and Maroochydore to the right. Who could want more!
Their catch phrase that once you live here you never want to leave is 100% correct.

"Dull Dull and Overpriced"

No sense of community, transient population, starting to get hoons and grafitti like everywhere else now. Older part of estate nice and 'green' but newer parts and the new Ridges estate are soulless. We bought here because surrounded by national park - now FKP are bulldozing all the bushland terrible shame.

Also many renters on estate means those owning, like us, are constantly subjected to noise and riff raff from tenants and transient occupants.

  • Little sense of community / friendship

I agree the houses here are overpriced but thats where your being right ends.
I have lived here for a year now and have seen no evidence of riff raff, graffiti or hoons.
We rent as do most of our friends because of the overpriced situation which has caused the increase of rental properties and in turn tenants .
I would suggest you look at the facts and find away of putting your point across without being quite
so offensive or arrogant.
Personally I think this a wonderful place to live there is a good sense of community but theres no place for snobbery.

CrIgmiddleton

You must be kidding, its a fantastic spot only minutes to beach with lovely locals. Best spot on the coast for beachy families.

brucea

Seems that most houses must have their garages full of "stuff" as the cars in many PS areas are parked in driveways, up on the grass verges, in front yards, on the roads - anywhere but in private garages! Cars everywhere! And slowly, just slowly, the numbers of houses where gardens and lawns are neglected is increasing - which of course lowers property values for everyone. As if closing down the golf club wasn't enough!

jys1

I agree with you brucea. Doing it tough financially should not mean living in scum.
dms2106 - there is absolutely no evidence of snobbery, just low life with no consideration for laws, maintenance of homes, streets or considering others. With a bit of snobbery comes pride and that is zero and this is not imagined, walk around the streets of the ridges and you will see 99% of houses and yards are uncared for. Cars parked on what were designed to be lawns. Dog faeces EVERYWHERE! Roaming and off leash dogs putting us all at risk. Obey the goddamn law people!!!!

greatl

Most of the comments regarding the uncared gardens I see here is for the Ridges zone, not for the other areas where is very clean, and a respectful and family friendly community.
