Port Elliot is a very unique town. From West to East, the coast is a combination of a long surf beach (perfect for nice long walks along the beach), a rocky point with stunning granite boulders, Horseshoe Bay (an incredible sheltered beach that is perfect for those who like to swim in calmer waters), and ends with the sheltered marine park at Bahsam's Beach. The local council has set up fantastic bike & walking trails so the coastline can be enjoyed easily. The buildings are a mixture of old and new. There are some stunning old buildings (many heritage listed) that have been beautifully preserved and create a charming 'old world' atmosphere. The main shopping precinct is filled with all sorts of shops and cafes - from youthful clothing to antiques, there's something for everyone. Surrounded by ocean, acreage properties and the rolling hills - it really is a pretty location with something to offer everyone.
