Which is better to live in from a quality of life perspective, Port Macquarie or Gold Coast?
Port Macquarie, NSW 2444 is located within the Hastings local government area, part of the Mid-North Coast Region in New South Wales.
We are planning to immigrate from UK to Australia next year but unsure which is better to live in. We are after a more relaxed lifestyle and have young children. Can anyone provide any insights please?

I would think the answer will depend on what you are looking for. I have not lived on the Gold Coast (only visited there) but I do live in Wauchope, near Port Macquarie. I find the natural attractions here abundant, the available schooling choices provide good options and the sporting & community groups welcoming. I think health & medical services are well provided. Some people say employment options locally are limited (haven’t seen this myself) and if you are used to living in a busy city you may notice the slower pace of life. Help this helps
