What is the crime rate like in Queens Park?

The crime level in Queens Park has shot up in the past 12 months (as of January 2023) from talking to people who have lived in the area a long time.

Its besieged with burglaries. Home break ins are a weekly occurrence, I can count 5 neighbours whose homes have been ransacked within the past 6 months.

When leaving the house in the morning you need to check if there is anyone loitering in the area watching you leave as this is their typical MO.

I have had to install 3 cameras in the front of the house.

Cars being ransacked are common but this is most prevalent at night and for those who don't have the luxury of enclosed garages.

I am thankful I am renting, I will seek to move somewhere else in the near future.

It isn't too bad really, it is very calm and pretty quiet in Queens Park, last time I ever heard of some random crime here was in the last 2 months, (a break-in on our own car). I'm sure there is more to come but, it is a pretty average and safe place as long as you don't forget to lock your doors, you are fine, just watch out for teenagers, they are the main threat for crime and things in Queens Park.

I live in Vic Park and it's safe - You just have to be vigilant in locking doors and ensuring security is in place, like any suburb in Perth. There HAVE been break in's around Vic Park, but never us. There are loads of familes in our street - and surrounding streets. I cant comment on Queens Park though. I do think Vic Park has got better from it's bad reputation years ago - if I could afford to buy in Vic Park I would.

I don't want to speak too soon, but going on experiences, I would say the crime rate is on par with other suburbs, ie. East Victoria Park, Victoria Park, Cannington, East Cannington. So, average.
