Moving to Gold Coast - need advise please

Hi. I am moving to the Gold Coast in November this year. I am a single mum with a 13yo daughter. I would like to live in a nice quiet area that is away from the tourist areas. I am looking at renting in either in Paradise Point or Pacific Pines so far, but not sure about other areas. I need some advice on state high schools in these areas or other areas. I want a safe area to raise my child. Does anyone have kids that go to Coombabah State High School or Pacific Pines State High School? It would be nice to live near the water/beach, or not to far from it.

Any comments on all areas/schools would be greatly appreciated.

well my dear don't bother if you are a decent mother that likes a safe enviroment for You and your child because my husband and i with our two little children moved to pacific pines two weeks ago and feel unsafe very disappointed with the constant hooning of these idiots in stupid cars running around here. we cant even take the kids for a walk at night only to be abused by some drunk driver yelling abuse. we want to move. i haved lived in Robina many years ago and i love the people and area if you can afford it!!! stay away from yobbo area unless you like that1 well good luck my dear i hope my info gives you a liitle more insight on the coast and what your in for!
