Reviews of Redcliffe, WA

"Best value close to the city"

If you don’t mind plane noise (trust me you get so used to it you block it out) and you want to live near the city without the near-city price tag, Redcliffe is a great option. The east end towards Leach Highway is lovely and has some really nice, well-kept parks and all the houses are very nice to look at.

"Redcliffe - Everything we wanted in our first home"

We looked at Redcliffe for proximity to the city, size of the blocks and pricing to purchase what we wanted. We found after living in Redcliffe for a year that it has everything we wanted and more. I've got room for a shed vegie patch and chooks, the aircraft noise is minimal, the parks are great for walking the dog, I can walk to work (FIFO), there are some great takeaway joints hidden away and our street is friendly. The only annoying factor is the cars parking on Brearley Ave (domestic airport rd) are a traffic accident waiting to happen. That said I wouldn't be anywhere else.

Great for

  • Plenty of Parks and Schools
  • Quiet
  • Safe
  • Access to everything.

Not great for

  • Cars parking illegally on Brearley Ave

Brearley Ave is now closed for the construction of the Redcliffe railway station. No more parking problem!

"Great Place to Live"

Lived in Redcliffe for 8 years so far. It's within 8km of the CBD so everything is accessable and there's plenty of public transport (construction of the new Redcliffe railway station has commenced). Easy access to main transport routes (seems to be close to everything). No Homeswest or aircraft noise in the 'top end'. Plenty of parks and the neighbours tend to look after their places. Good environment for kids. Close to the river for long walks and kayaking, boating, fishing etc. 'Top end' is laid out in the old 50's style so it's easy to find your way around and all the essentials are within walking distance (shops, doctors, pub etc). Seriously underrated suburb and represents good value for money. (Property around here still sells even in the slump!).

  • Access to everything.
  • Plenty of Parks and Schools

It was Homewest and older home are dangerously electrical wired and potential of being electroluted.Even there are white ants in some of these acient homes.Areas like Ascot Water are far better in value.

Rentals in Redcliffe

"Lovely Place to live"

We moved to the redcliffe area about 5 years ago because my husband's friend also lived in this area. He recommended it and it was within our budget. I live on just off Epsom avenue in one of the estates. Very well designed streets. Peaceful. Lots of young families who have kids. Lots of Parks around for kids to play.
Redcliffe is a very under-rated area... it is close to the Galleria in Morley and Belmont Forum Shops in Cloverdale. Very close to Burswood Casino and the city.

No hesitation in recommending this place to anyone.

It sits next to Ascot Millionaire VVIP Very Rich&Famous Housing rows and close to Burswood Crown Casino Multimillionsdollars Mansion and hotels group expansion.A spanking brand new Burswood stadium coming up soon.Expansion of the international airport will increase demand for housing it s staff here. A rich multi cultural heritage suburb. The most famous private school St Maria Gorretti located here. You can built a big huge house with pool or cricket field at the backyard with dirt cheap price compare to Ascot or Mount Lawley cafestrips.

"North of Stanton Road means Redcliffe is great to live in"

It is a reasonably quiet suburb but if you go to the parks and look along the streets you will see people walking dogs (and even the odd cat lol), talking to their neighbours and playing with family. Safe place for a young family. I live North of Stanton road so have managed to avoid living in Homeswest areas, a lot of developing is still going on in the suburb, its a $12 cab fare (at peak times) from Burswood and $15-16 from Northbridge. There are a few restuarants and take away joints and its not too far from the Rivervale pub. Belmont forum is only a few kms away and all the stores around and in there should be able to satisfy your shopping cravings, there are plenty of businesses that make Belmont their home and a few medical practices and dentists. All in all a good balanced place to live.
