Flooding damage
Hello
I am based in Sydney and plan to relocate to Brisbane in a few years to live. My plan is to buy that house now and rent it out until my family is ready to relocate.
I am planning on travelling up in the next couple of weeks to view suburbs such as Wynnum/Sandgate/Redcliffe. Does anyone know how badly these were affected by the floods? I am keen to come and see them but obviously no point if they are still recovering.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
All those areas are subjected to flood. My sister's house flooded and they were not on the floodmap, so you can't be sure. If you aim for a highset queenslander style home, that's a little more peace of mind. Try Manly or Shorncliffe up on the terraces, pending your budget
