Great place to live, close to shops, transport and can also walk to the beach.

Noisy neighbours and crime. It's the reason I moved out with my young kids. Definitely NOT a place for families. Lots of drunken yahoos walk up the street late at night and climb the public steps to the upper half of the road, yelling and smashing bottles as they go. Deliveries of any kind always take ages because the people (such as pizza companies) always drive to the top half of the street by mistake. You get police and ambulance sirens from the main road disturbing the peace almost every night. Crime is high here: four garages in our unit block were broken into, a car was firebombed in the playground's car park, and a shopfront was broken into; all within the last year. Said playground (for toddlers!) is always habited by skateboard-riding teens and covered in graffiti. The neighbours in my unit block are always in domestic arguments and screaming profanity and verbal abuse at each other. The other guy in my block blasts loud music at 3am. The next block to us has parties almost every Saturday night where one stupid annoying woman laughs like a friggin' hyena and you can hear her from anywhere. The little old lady who lives in a house on a corner is a busybody who tells you to move your car away from her driveway and she also disobeys water restrictions by watering her yard any time she feels like it. Parking on the street is basically impossible as people from other streets park there (due to no time limits) and then walk to Pittwater Road to catch the bus. A lot of cockroaches around here too. Don't move here. It's not worth it.
