What is the feeling in Richmond?

Hi, I'm looking to 'tree change' to Richmond/Hawkesbury area and would like to know the feeling in the area. Is it bogan or quite relaxed and country? Thanks :)

It is a beautiful area that has a lovely relaxed charm. It has the best of both worlds. Practicality with essential infrastructure and also a country ambience.

I've grown up here and believe its always has a really good feel- relaxed and community minded. The Hawkesbury is a peri-urban area, meaning its got a blend of rural and residential, and so it has a small town feel without it being a small town. What I like most is that there is lots to do if you have visitors- harvest trails, wineries, blue mountains, bush walks, river activities, historic pubs and heritage buildings. I live and work in Richmond and find everything handy and accessible- and the weekend farmers market is fab!
