Apartment to rent in a Richmond or Thornbury?

We are 3 students, looking to rent a 1 bedroom apartment which has good access to public transport and a place with rent of about $200-$250 pw. We need the unit to be 45 mins travel by train to both Monash (Caulfield Campus) and La Trobe(Bundoora Campus). Also, looking to rent by the 10th of July.

Hi
I don't think you'll have much luck finding anything in that price range in Richmond unfortunately but it could be worthwhile having a look at some of the surrounding suburbs. Also Richmond to Bundoora by train would probably take more than 45 minutes.
Thornbury has a few in your price range: https://www.homely.com.au/rent/thornbury-darebin-melbourne-greater-victoria?bedrooms=1&pricemaximum=250
Are these the only 2 suburbs you're considering?
Have you considered a share house?

These aren't the only suburbs I'm considering. I'm looking for a suburb that's roughly equidistant to both Monash (Caulfield Campus) and La Trobe.
