Suggestions on finding a place to live in Richmond

Hey! I'm a Canadian nurse hoping to move to the Richmond area in March. When is the best time to start looking for a place to stay? I noticed your rent is weekly, is that because there is such a high turn-over rate? is it hard to find a place to live? also have any suggestions on where in Richmond is the best to live?

Hi Kylenev,
You could start looking now to see whats around and decide what you like but id say most of whats available now will be gone by March.
The rent isn't actually weekly, you'll get a 12month lease unless the property specifically says its only a 6 month lease. You also pay monthly but the price on the advertisement is broken down into weekly amounts :)
It can be hard, if you don't already plan to, you'll probably need to organise temporary accomodation till you can lease a property as most of the time you'll need to attend an inspection before they will rent the property to you, or you can have someone attend the inspection on your behalf.
