"Peaceful street in a friendly neighbourhood with good access to public transport"
We have lived in this street for almost 30 years without any problems. The environment is clean and green with many water views over Oyster Bay. The neighbours are always willing to stop for a chat. The street is usually driven on by locals only. It's very close to the Connell Road boat ramp and a little known, family- and nature-friendly, Rickard Road Reserve fronts the bay along the waterside of the street. As well as many species of birds, we've seen blue tounge lizards and even an echidna while we've been here. Buses to Jannali Railway Station and Miranda Fair regularly pass along the street. The school buses service Oyster Bay Public School, Sutherland Primary School, Jannali High, St Patrick's College (Primary & Secondary) and St Joseph's Primary Como/Oyster Bay. The local Oyster Bay shops and community centre are close by with larger centres, including Coles or Woolworths supermarkets, at Kareela and Jannali within a few minutes drive. All in all Rickard Road is a nice place to raise a family.
