"Nice area, undiscovered gem. Lots of new building projects in the area"

I live south of train line, in Littleton St, it's a great area. Close to the train, 30min into the city, 15min to airport. Few minute walk to doctors, pharmacy, optometrist, hearing specialist, dentist, hair dressers, Coles & Woolworths. Quite area, with good footpaths to shops. Good selection of parks in the area, small walk, or short drive to library and community centre. A number of large shopping centres are 10-15min drive away, and you can claim your M5 toll money back.
We've heard north of the train station is a lot of housing commission, though they have spent a bunch of money on redeveloping part of it with new mixed apartments and a new community centre, I think more work is scheduled along with some redevelopment of the local shopping centre. As old people sell their homes, we're seeing more duplexes of groups of town houses be built in the area, I think it is an area of good growth.

"A Fanastic place for young people starting out"

We moved from Sans Souci to Riverwood and have found it absolutley wonderful. It is so quiet and peaceful and we have found the locals very friendly and welcoming. We havent had any real issues at all, everything we need is within walking distance and the local shopping area is improving with new shops, restaurants and footpaths and a great Woolworths and Coles. The local clubs are great and the pub has awesome food. The blocks of land are big with affordable first homes that some require only re-decorating. There are great parks for sports and recreation. Transport is excellent with a train station, bus services and easy access to the M5 makes getting to the city and airport (which is only 14km away) a 15-20min drive and is also very central to Parramatta and Liverpool.

Hi there :)
We are currently in Montery and looking to move out that way. i noticed you moved from Sans Souci. We have a 4.5 year old and a 2.5 year old. Would you consider Riverwood (and surrounds) a family friendly area, good to raise children, safe?
