Is Rothwell an safe family friendly professional suburb ?
Rothwell, QLD 4022 is located within the Redcliffe local government area, part of the Brisbane Region in Queensland.
I am looking at living in the peninsula area and Rothwell looks reasonably priced however is this suburb safe without any hoons drugs rough people around . Or are suburbs like Scarborough Redcliff Newport better to live with two young kids

Rothwell is a good suburb for professional young families because of its close proximity to two strong performing private schools in the area (Mueller College, Grace Lutheran College). The public housing in the neighbourhood has progressively been sold to the private market, so there has been a noticeable shift in demographics. The rough people can no longer afford this suburb.
Redcliffe/Scarborough -Typically more expensive than Rothwell due to proximity to the water. However, it is further away from the private schools.
Newport - Same as Redcliffe/Scarborough. There is a new Stockland development that is more expensive than the existing housing. The land sizes are noticeably smaller.
