Reviews of Safety Bay, WA

"Bay of Plenty"

I lived in the area & worked for a time at my mum's very busy hair salon (she owned for over 32 years) in Safety Bay. The friendly people made this area great for me, as I'm not a fan of the seaweed smells, but I still love walking my dog along the foreshore in summer very much. Personally I prefer Warnbro Beach for swimming but if you like snorkeling or kayaking, I highly recommend the waters off Safety Bay.

"Holiday Beach Feels"

We have lived in the beachside suburb of Safety Bay for 5 years now. The nearby dog beach is a favourite Sunday morning place to be. Local cafes are popping up. Food trucks on the foreshores on Friday evening in Summers is a great way to end the working week. Bike track along the coast is a an easy ride with gorgeous views. Family friendly. Big blocks.

"Safety Bay - protected beaches and great kite surfing"

Safety Bay is a delightful place to live it has amazing beaches and if you are into kite surfing it has the perfect spot for it.

Safety Bay primary and High schools are well respected and have some great teachers. It is a fantastic community feel in Safety Bay. Theres a great library and the the little IGA shop is always welcoming and friendly. If you feel like fish and chips theres a great fish and chip shop near the IGA on Safety Bay Rd.

Theres a great bowling club which has Corporate bowls and a great atmosphere if you feel like a bit of community spirit head on down and check it out.

Theres a lovely boardwalk if you fancy a beach walk and its really close to penguin island - catching the little boat out to penguind island is a must if you havent already experienced it.

Rentals in Safety Bay

"Lovely suburb."

We moved to Safety Bay 3 years ago and still love the place, you are never far from stunning beaches and I never get tired of driving along Safety Bay road and looking at the ocean.

We decided on Safety Bay over the surrounding suburbs of Waikiki and Warnbro for the better schools and lower levels of crime, the blocks tend to be bigger than in the newer suburbs although some of the houses do look dated.

Plenty to do locally with Rockingham a short drive away for more shopping and pubs. More of a family and older persons suburb that for young singles.

"Under reviewed and somewhat unnoticed by most"

On the doorstep is some of the best beaches and water sports for all to enjoy. Some of the properties are highly priced, but some good bargains in there. Better for singles or retirees, as schools and childcare are not the best. My family picked Waikiki over Safety Bay based on school results and more good child care options.

"Living by the beach at it's best"

Having grown up in Safety Bay and living there or nearby for the past 50 years I feel I can speak with authority on this subject. This is beachside living at it's best. No matter where you are in the suburb of Safety Bay you are not far from a great beach. You have Warnbro Sound and the surrounding beaches which have won the best natural beach awards for a number of years and are set to continue to do so. The streets are mostly wide with big blocks. It's not far to the main Rockingham City Shopping centre or Cafe strip on the Rockingham foresore. If you have a family you can be sure trips to Penguin Island to see the hundreds of penguins living there or the seals on nearby islands will be a winner for the kids. Boating, which has been my favourite pastime for years, is great. There are some great reefs for scuba diving not far off the coast and the fishing is great once you know where to go. Traffic can be busy at peak times but most of the time it's fairly quiet and you have quick access to the Freeway to either travel to perth or further south. The train, which is a five minute drive away takes around 30 minutes to Perth. With the proposed marinas and other developments planned for Rockingham the prices here are likely to rise, with property prices still well below Perth this area is a great place to buy. If you need further info please feel free to email a local at [email protected]. My motto is " Helping you make the right move"
