Melbourne, Australia 22 April 2015 Far East Organization, Singapores largest private property developer, today announces it is commencing construction on St Helena Woods, a new master planned residential community located in Melbournes desirable north-eastern suburbs. The project will be developed over the next four years and will set a benchmark for Far East Organizations entry into the Australian residential market.
Inspired by nature, the project will display the best in urban and landscape design, featuring a wide range of modern, architect-designed homes set in a natural and established parkland environment. Twenty-five percent of the projects 19 hectares will be developed as parkland and dedicated to preserving existing flora and fauna habitat.
The St Helena Woods community will feature about 250 dwellings and offer buyers a range of housing options, with over twelve house designs and a variety of interior and external colour schemes. A Sales Gallery and Display Village is planned which will showcase the range of housing types and quality finishes to prospective purchasers. The St Helena Woods site is characterised by several distinct precincts, each with its own features including an existing creek bed, valley, rolling hills and elevated views. In response to these unique characteristics, the master plan and house designs have been guided by the Australian landscape setting to promote a variety of interfaces with open space, parkland and the wider St Helena neighbourhood. The beautiful views and established trees over the site have been carefully integrated into the design to create a sensitive and high quality, integrated housing residential community, says Mr Koos de Keijzer of DKO Architecture.
