Whats a good place to live for 50+ single, but not ready for bingo halls and poker machines yet!

Raised the kids, did the white picket fence thing, got the divorce and the t-shirt. So today I'm 50+ white single male moving back to Brisbane after 3 years living in Mooloolaba Sunshine Coast. Want to live in an area where I don't feel to intimated by the 30 something age groups but as a senior I'm not also ready for bingo halls and poker machines. I'm a young active 50, self employed professional. Sandgate seems appealing, also Bulimba and Hamiton. Any recommendations on great places to live in Brisbane for 50+ singles?

Sandgate! Heaps to do around here, plenty of restaurants and bars, no need for taxis for me anymore...local bars have some great live music! You've got markets, a few festivals throughout the year and the lagoons and beachfront a short walk away.
