"Perfect suburban lifstyle !"

We love all the beautiful paths around the lakes, perfect for a stroll or bike ride. The sense of community is just fantastic with every age group represented here, there’s everything from retirement villages to students who are attending the nearby University it literally has everything for everybody! Being a mum of two kids aged 8 and 10 it’s reassuring there are so many traffic calming fixtures on the roads such as chicanes not only do they give you peace of mind but they actually look attractive and give a lovely calmness and peacefulness to the area. Some of the best schools are here with Chancellor and Sienna on your doorstep and easy access to all the other schools on the coast. The University is here too for the budding geniuses. It’s a short 11 minute drive to Mooloolaba Beach and being close to the sunshine motorway, only 1 hours’ drive to Brisbane CBD. It has a pub, huge supermarket lots of shops and the best fish and chip shop in the whole of the sunshine coast! Definitely Sippy Downs !!

"Get me out of here"

Position is ideal for coastal or Brisbane workers.
Teenagers get bored quickly, not enough reliable public transport and drugs are become a bigger problem.
Schools couldn't be faulted, excellent.
Avoid living near University accommodation. Very noisy

"Ripe for an education"

I first bought my property 7 years ago as a rental, of which I lived there for 2years (recently moved). It was a great to live in regards to public transport, education, medicine and not to far to the beach or shops. However, I noticed a very obvious increase in crime and littering as the uni student population increased.

In our last couple of months before moving we had uni students trespass onto our property (jumping 6ft fences) and blatant littering onto our front lawn (including throwing alcholic glass bottles late at night/early morning which would then smash). It was just not us, all of our neighbours complained about the same issues.

The traffic is ridiculous during peak times now as well. It was not rare to take ten minutes to leave my street to get onto university way (main drag). However, out of these peak times easy to drive/cycle and lots of public transport

Good area for all family types - retirees, family with children, couples and singles as there is lots of parks, shops, schools, doctors and even a gym.

"A great place to be"

Sippy Downs is a family friendly suburb and a wonderful place to live. Everything you need is at Sippy Downs, including a large supermaket, a petrol station, a variety of shops and different banks. Sippy Downs is also only 10mins from Mooloolaba beach! And 15mins to Kawana Shopping World. There are also multiple schools and our very own Sunshine Coast University. Our neighbours are wonderful and I am proud to live in Sippy Downs.

"No need to leave."

I have lived on the Sunshine Coast for 19 years and lived in at least 9 houses along the coast. Three of those were in Sippy Downs. It is the easiest place to live on the Sunshine Coast in my experience and the suburb is made up of many different family's, singles, couples and retirees. There are two shopping areas, 6 educational facilities, dog park and parks all within walking distance.

"Sippy Downs is a university town which is relatively new growing rapidly."

Sippy Downs is a reasonably new university town approx. 20 mins drive from the coast on the Sunshine Coast. Because it is inland a little it has tended to attract the younger families where they could afford the real estate. In saying that, it does have a man made canal and along this area there are some quite large and expensive homes.

It is a well planned township and along with the new residential areas a large commercial area has been developed which brings in extra traffic to the area and also offers quite considerable employment in the area.

There is not a lot in the way of entertainment but it does have fine cuisine and nightlife is within a 20 minute drive.

The area has also been popular for families because a child can enter school at kindy level and go right through to university, all within 1 km of each other.
