"Don’t look anywhere else"

We searched far and wide before settling on Buderim (Headland Park area) and we’re so glad we did. This is our absolute dream place to live. The value here far exceeds anywhere else we looked at and if you’re truly looking to escape that ‘estate’ feel then the properties are so unique and everything feels so established and tropical. We tried to like other places but this is the place for us. Neighbours so friendly and great community.

"Not much happening"

We didn’t mind it but we thought it was overpriced considering there isn’t much there. Friends of ours got flooded out there in 2022 with the rain. Will any of these beach side suburbs be as desirable in 5-10 years with climate and insurance concerns? Look up high!

"Disappointed, overpriced."

We looked here before eventually buying in Buderim (which we love) but we found it had a very ‘estate’ feel with houses close together and a lot of houses feeling the same. That said, prices are still sky high. Feels hot when you’re in there without the sea breeze and most houses were tenanted in the areas we looked. Lots of talk about break ins, for that price no thank you.

Can I ask more about Buderim? It's an area of interest for us and our young family. Are there any particular areas to avoid? :)

"Too far, land isn’t even cheap?"

Expensive land, better off buying closer to the coast we found. Why move to ‘the coast’ and then go live so far away from everything? With building costs etc going so high we found it would be more cost efficient to buy somewhere established near the coast than buy and build here. No sea breeze.

"Rented here, break ins. Avoid."

Break ins were growing when we rented here. Lots of people commented. Kids out at night causing trouble. Low lying by the water, probably better off looking somewhere up high?

"Looked, but no"

Not our cup of tea at all. Estate feel, no footpaths on streets, very expensive properties but so basic and a bit of an ‘estate’ feel. Bought in buderim for the same price and much prefer it. We looked originally as our friends lived here but they said they also noticed an increase in crime and tenanted properties and it really lost the ‘feel’ of before.

The street I bought in must have been the worst place I've ever lived
