"Too far, land isn’t even cheap?"

Expensive land, better off buying closer to the coast we found. Why move to ‘the coast’ and then go live so far away from everything? With building costs etc going so high we found it would be more cost efficient to buy somewhere established near the coast than buy and build here. No sea breeze.

Love it .. love it
Best rural land and will be worth a lot more in the years to come with the way it’s going.. hidden gem

Quite but so close to shops with plenty of infrastructure coming and with so many more family moving here.

Away from the buzz but living the dream

"Living our dream"

Every person that has visited us from interstate just falls in love with this area.
If your looking to buy some land to own a few animals or to just soak in that view this would suit right on point and I think you’ll stay for a long time in the hills, our internet works fast as the tower isn’t that far away.
I love having chickens and tinkering around on the tractor while the view is relaxing reading a book.. best of both worlds
Other family are very nice and always happy to help each other out.

Not to far away from cooroy/Pomona which is growing fast.

Good luck everyone

"Such a lovely area & peaceful yet so close to everything ."

Everyone has always told me about Black Mountain and how Beautiful it is... what else can you ask for with birds wild life at your door step and just stunning views of the country.
We love how you can run your own little farm yet it’s only just down the road from Cooroy not to far from the beach.. best of both worlds.

"amazing peaceful place to bring up children or just revitalise your energy and live in harmony with birds and nature"

I have lived in Black Mountain for the last 25 years and have not found anywhere else that is so beautiful, peaceful, or living with nature and also floodfree. High away from rising sea levels and just a short drive to Noosa River, Boreen Point and Noosa Heads. 20 minutes to be exact. The new airport is only 40 minutes drive straight down the new double lane highway. I have brought up 4 children here and cannot think of a more beautiful place for them to grow up. The people are so friendly in old Noosa town of Pomona where our children went to school. And Noosa High school where our 4 children all went. Highly recommend both schools. Two children went on to study at the University of Sunshine Coast in health and what a wonderful uni so close by. Our kids would drive to the Uni and take only 40 minutes straight down the double lane highway.

"Peaceful privacy with distant views nestled away from the coastal and urban hype"

As you gradually ascend from the Noosa coast and Bruce Highway, you feel you are approaching heaven. The distant views in all directions confirm your arrival. You also soon feel an escape from the endless Noosa, Sunshine Coast, and Brisbane hype as they compete for attention and tourist income and a short drive away if needed, though the near Cooroy CBD offers all. Here is simply about home and living; waking to admire newborn clouds ascending from the valley dew, bird songs welcoming you to the new day, a rare privacy and peace to tend to daily duties in a relaxed environment, observations of nature's cycles in seasonal blooms or fragrances or wildlife activity. Neighbours share basic values while also sharing their excess grown fruits or the fruits of their labours. All cherish our hidden refuge from the distractions of those lower worlds where materialism, greed, vanity, fads, crime and distractions thrive, unlike elevated here where family, pets, conversations, gardening, daily purpose and priceless rewards reign. Though other areas boast being environmental, we have always quietly just lived it in our daily respects and protections and necessary sustainable ways, being eco-friendly before the phrase was invented. The resident backgrounds are diversified; from professionals to labourers, from young to old, from wealthy to moderate incomes, but all modestly sharing a recognition that we have found our heaven on earth here. However, like the proverbial heaven, only those that are worthy will see the joys and receive the blessings. I've travelled the world and lived in several countries, but it seems fate and unnecessary complexities and politics elsewhere have eventually brought me here where I've stayed for the past two decades.

"Ideal location for those who engage in sustainable living practices so as to care for the land"

Situated within the fauna and flora rich Noosa Biosphere Reserve (established as part of UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere Programme in 2007) and largely comprised of rural properties, hobby farms and acreages, Black Mountain is an ideal place for all of those who feel that they have an obligation to care for the land, and to do so, engage in sustainable living practices.
