Reviews of Aroona, QLD
"Nightmare"
I lived here in a street, controlled by retired people, that didn't like peace and tranquillity.
Aroona is a lovely place for the acquired taste
I must have hit the wrong street to buy.. and thank god after 12 months I sold and moved away
Much happier now..
Would never live on the Sunshine Coast again though.. a beautiful place with aroona being like a huge retirement village
"Looked, but no"
Not our cup of tea at all. Estate feel, no footpaths on streets, very expensive properties but so basic and a bit of an ‘estate’ feel. Bought in buderim for the same price and much prefer it. We looked originally as our friends lived here but they said they also noticed an increase in crime and tenanted properties and it really lost the ‘feel’ of before.
Agree.. but you forgot the agro retirees in Aroona
The street I bought in must have been the worst place I've ever lived
"FANTASTIC"
A beautiful suburb 4 minutes drive to Dicky Beach. Take the back streets via Queen St to Kings Beach with no highways to cross. A hop skip and a jump and your on the road to Brisbane, arriving in Windsor in 60minutes. The neighbourhood is friendly, quiet, clean and house proud. All the facilities including a few fabuluous ladies boutiques all in downtown Caloundra. Aldi, Woolies and petrol all 3 minutes drive. Coles and and Kmart 5minutes drive. We boast 7 beaches in Caloundra so plenty of choices for surf, calm, lakes and breathtaking walks with views. There's Drs, Dentists, Pathology and X-ray on every corner in Caloundra. The fabulous Sunshine Coast University Hospital is a 10 minute drive too or 15 minutes by bus. If you desire Department Stores you have a short 20 minute drive into Maroochydore for David Jones and Myer with amble parking. We have restaurants with breathtaking views from Italian to Mexican to Indian and much more. Fresh seafood and Mooloolaba prawns from the local seafood restaurants and takeaway. Everyone says the Sunshine Coast is Gods Country and it truly is.

So true
"Fantastic family suburb that is safe and within minutes to school, beaches and shops."
Local primary school is by far the best on the coast and just a quick bike ride to the local high school. Can bike everywhere from schools, beaches, shops all within 10 minutes!! Its so well located and its affordable. Bus stops very close and the new trainline in the future will have a stop at Aroona also so it'll be quick into Maroochydore too! Cannot fault the area and love living here.
