Is Springfield Lakes subject to flooding?

Springfield Lakes has not been subject to major flooding that has threatened housing. Like all areas the storm water run off in the creeks certainly affects the levels but not to the extent of causing damage to homes etc. Even in the January 2011 floods we were not affected as the flooding was mainly caused by the release from Wivenhoe Dam and affected the Brisbane, Bremer and connecting rivers and creeks that flow into the waterway.
