Hi again Linda!

We have a fabulous hospital in St Helens which was only opened in November 2019, so it lovely and new. As district hospital it has a full emergency department, ten beds, consulting rooms, dentist, visiting specialist etc. If surgery is required you will be referred through to the Launceston General Hospital.

I hope that answers your question and don't hesitate to be in touch if I can help with anything else!

So in event of emergency don't waste your time going to the hospital, call an ambulance.

There is NO emergency department. NB you have to either call an ambulance which then calls the flying doctor or drive to Launceston in the event of an emergency. Funded by the tip shop.
