Reviews of Strangways Terrace, Port Elliot
"A nightmare to live in summer! And don't mention schoolies..."
As a suburb, a beautiful place to live but once summer nears, goodbye all safety, security, peace and quiet. Strangways Tce becomes a nightmare road, with idiots driving up and down all day and night, ignoring the level crossing and leaving rubbish all over the place. Schoolies weekend in Victor Harbor also brings these elements, just condensed into a single weekend with ten times the hoon issue.
The road is poorly maintained by council who seem more active in policing parking issues in and around Horseshoe bay than they are with timely rubbish collections or removing damaged street signs. Shops close by 6pm. Parks are poorly maintained apart from coastal parks.
Not great for
- Level crossing poorly maintained
- Busy in summer and holidays
- Litter
