Reviews of Bakers Beach, TAS
"Coastal Lifestyle away from any Hustle and Bustle"
Surrounded by natural bush, a short drive to the Narawantapu National Park and close to the Rubicon Estuary, Bakers Beach is the place to live if you like the quiet life and don't mind at least a 30 minute drive back to 'the shops'
You can kayak, canoe, boat, fish, swim, bushwalk, beach comb - all the good things that living on an estuary and close to an incredible beach offers, I guess you could even surf if the weather was right. There are also plenty of people that use the nearby forests for activities that involve motors, but you can't hear that from the main neighbourhood. ;)
The community has a very active and well supported volunteer fire brigade with social events planned throughout the year - but if you want to keep to yourself then that is AOK.
Once Bakers Beach gets into your system it's hard to let go and most residents have been there for quite some time - if you get the chance to experience this lifestyle, grab it with both hands. Most houses have been built with loads of character, some have direct access to the Estuary or Browns Creek and are on a 'couple of acres'.
