Reviews of Boonah, QLD
"4 years of my life gone to waste"
I was forced to live here for 4 years and the best memory I had of the place was packing my bags and moving out. Many locals here are either bogans or stuck up jerks who think they're better than everyone else. The only good things about this town is some nice scenic views in the surrounding areas and acouple of nice cafes and discount stores in the town centre, other than that the place is a dump.
"Great if you drive through it"
Lived here for a year..People are utter snobs, They think they are better then the rest of Queensland...If they don't know you they don't want to know you...Old hiddy biddy gossip is thriving in that town...They look at you up and down...Best thing about the place is the road that goes through it.

Original post translation: they didn't like me, and appreciate decent people who aren't feral. Great, I'll be checking Boonah out :)
Living out there was 4 of most depressing years of my life
You should probably give it five stars, as there are liars posting nonsense about it who are dragging the star rating down.

"A fabulous, friendly town."
My wife and I moved to Boonah just over two years ago, and we cannot praise this little town highly enough!. The people are friendly, It has all the facilities we need, it has a wonderful country feel, and yet only an hour from Brisbane. We are continually impressed with the younger people in Boonah as well, who in our experience are unfailingly polite and courteous. Good food, great atmosphere, and a terrific lifestyle thrown in, we cant think of anywhere else we have lived that comes even close!

"So right! We also love boonah"
You're so right about Boonah becoming quite the place to be!
We moved here two years ago from Brisbane and have never looked back.
Love the community spirit, especially with more people becoming more aware of their environment. We can get all our organic food locally and there is even a Boonah organisation for sustainable living.
The local cafes have also impressed our friends - meals really are on par with some of the best we have eaten. It's nice to be able to get a genuinely great coffee too.
It will be interesting to see what happens in the future. We don't want 'our' little town to be found out by too many people ... maybe we should stop raving!
Love the golf course too!

"An up and coming little town ..."
Boonah is fast turning into quite the place to be..
This little town has five coffee shops, four pubs, two art galleries, three butchers, three fruit shops, two supermarkets, a cinema, cultural centre and a rapidly growing variety of little specialty shops to make up the High Street.
A few years ago, after midday on a Saturday and all of Sunday the town centre would simply shut down, but nowadays it's buzzing with locals and tourists in search of breakfast or lunch out, or simply a fresh loaf of gourmet sourdough and some shopping. Boonah has it all now.
There are markets each weekend and a growing appreciation of the beauty of this thriving Scenic Rim region. Boonah also has its own hospital, schools (including private primary school) and golf range.

Love it best place in the country. People are helpful in times of crisis the entire area band together. The fires around Boonah were a great example and throughout the drought. I love Boonah <3
