"Brentwood Village Shops"
Can't love this strip of shops more, the small business owners, the local people that frequent the shops. It has everything you could possibly need, Chemist, Post Office, Butcher, Cafe's, Newsagent, Deli, Liquor Store, Bakery, Hairdresser, Fruit + Vege, Beautician, Real Estate Agent, Chiropractor, Boutique, Physio and Dentist. A real community feel to the place. Brentwood Village Team are proactive in creating a better place to live. There is public seating along the footpath and a table and bench seating. Love this location as our local

"Lovely, leafy-green suburb with everything you need on your doorstep."
My partner and I have LOVED living here (Disney Street) for the past 12 mths. We live across the road from a Primary School Oval and the Blue Gum Recreation Centre which is awesome for us because we love a game of squash. There is a nature reserve/park around the corner and the Swan River is only a stroll away - as is Garden City Shopping Centre. We've found this suburb to be very quiet and safe - which I appreciate a lot because my partner often works night shifts.
You might like to know that there is quite a bit of state housing in this suburb, but much of it is designated for people with physical disabilities, so you don't get the "trouble" that is often associated with state-housing (in our experience). Having said that, however, be wary of the housing area down the end of Moolyeen, near Leach Hwy... I often see the police cars parked outside those houses.
Cranford Ave shopping precinct has all the amenities you could possibly need (seriously). One of our favourite reasons for living in this location is ease of access to the freeway via Cranford Ave OR Leach Hwy - AND Bull Creek train station only a 15 min walk away.
The only negative that annoys me a lot is pests. Now that summer has arrived, I am killing all sorts of spiders on a daily basis and are trying my best to control ants and mosquitoes.
Another negative is inflated house prices... As First-Home buyers, we are disappointed we can't afford to purchase in Brentwood... sigh.
