"The Bees Knees"
Unusual for most towns best suburbs, Broadwood is on the edge of Kalgoorlie closest to the industrial West Kalgoorlie and the Airport. The suburb is noted for having no public housing. Housing in this suburb are more expensive than other parts of Kalgoorlie. There are only a few parks, limited foot paths and no schools or shops. It is quite easily accessed from nearby suburbs via car or bike, or if healthy enough for a walk such as Somerville with the Oasis sports and recreation facilities, a 7 day IGA , OConnor Primary School and Goldfields Baptist College.
