Reviews of Cardwell, QLD
"Residents from all over the country and abroad make this a wonderful place to own, rent and live."
Have stopped here enroute north to Cairns every year . Watched the housing market and consistency’s of businesses and decided we would leave our hectic life and slip into Cardwell time. Fantastic decision , there is professional and hospitality work readily available in Town or a 35 minute commute which is far quicker then public transport in any city .A 50 metre pool
With gym run by locals. Daily meet ups for hikes up to the viewing area on the hills for fitness, pickleball
Courts a Golf club, air sea rescue with amazing staff and a mechanic, so much in the area .
35 minutes away is a gourmet IGA that stocks above and beyond or go to the Woolies in Mission or Ingham. Two bottle shops, local farm fresh herbs and seasonal fruit and butcher, a great healthy foods providore, Library that’s well above what you would hope to expect and much more. We bought a massive block home with a pool for mid 300 k in 2024 with a breezy walk to the esplanade or ride your bikes along the 6 plus km of beachfront paths, stop for a
Bucket of prawns or home
Made pies, toastys or a beer along the beach or dine at one of the many cafes then do some retail therapy at ObLaDi which also has a weekend market .
