Reviews of Champion Lakes, WA
"Good access to transport, not sound or sound"
Gun shots from local farms, not a safe neighbourhood, people unfriendly and loud
"Lake Front Views"
Champion Lakes is a lovely suburb situated off Lake Road and hosts the wonderful Champion Lakes Regatta which was opened in 2009 and cost some 30 million dollars to build. The suburb was initially a part of Camillo and was renamed with the Regatta started works. The establishment of the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre has provided students from schools like Kelmscott Senior High to participate in rowing competitions among other competitions. Not only is it used by schools but it is also open to the public all days of the week and is a beautiful and popular place for those close to the area to go walking. The suburb is a small area and the community is very close and family friendly.

"Like a holiday retreat!"
We built a house on a waterfront block in Champion Lakes in 2015. It's a beautiful suburb with a large, clean lake giving opportunities for swimming, kayaking, standup paddleboaring, bird-watching, walking, running and cycling to the local residents. There are clean, well-maintained parks with pergolas and BBQs which are always available. There are two beaches and a new commercial area with cafes and shops is being developed. The community is small, friendly, respectful and supportive. Aldi, GP clinic, pharmacy and takeaway shops are within walking distance. Perth Hills with local markets, wineries, nature reserves and breath-taking views are a short drive away.

"Champion Lakes - First Class Regatta Centre"
The area of Champion Lakes used to be part of Westfield (in turn part of Armadale) but was renamed when the Regatta Centre was built several years ago. The Champion Lakes Regatta Centre opened in 2009 and is a world class facility for rowing, kayaking and dragon boat racing. It is also open to the public and the man made lake has a small beach area and grassed picnic areas. There is limited private land use in the area and much of the suburb is larger properties around the Regatta centre. The area population is placed at about 200 people and access to other services and shopping is in Armadale. There is a new estate in development with new houses currently being built - it is being promoted as a prestigious estate so the quality of housing may be the best in the area. Only time will tell!
Great for
- World class sporting venue!
- New prestigious estate on the way!
